Challenge: Create an identity and website presence that promotes the growing downtown district of Washougal, Washington.
Solution: The brand identity and website were designed to capture an emerging vision for downtown Washougal. We wanted to describe the small town charm, as well as communicate the opportunities this district offers local businesses. Taking into consideration the visual assets of the area, we decided it was only appropriate to reference the mountain and mighty Columbia River in the logo mark. Downtown visitors have direct access to the Columbia River via a pedestrian tunnel that connects Pendleton Way to the historic Lewis and Clark Heritage Trail. It is this connectivity to nature and local resources that makes this town special to business owners.
For the sake of simplicity, we created a single page parallax website with photography strategically placed to support the lifestyle message of downtown Washougal. The video, which is the hero of the website, allows the story of downtown Washougal to be told in a compelling way. To view the website, visit downtownwashougal.com.
